Raquel Rodriguez Sarmiento

Podiatrist

I was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and moved to Madrid at the age of thirteen to pursue professional ballet training. I relocated to Leeds, UK, to train at Northern Ballet, an experience that challenged me as a dancer and gave me a deep understanding of the physical and mental demands of the professional world. After several years in the dance world, I decided to redirect my career toward healthcare, motivated by a growing interest in injury prevention and performance optimization. I earned my BSc in Podiatry from the Complutense University of Madrid and went on to complete two Master’s degrees: one in Sports Podiatry and another in Research Methodology in Health Sciences. I have gained clinical experience in Madrid and Dublin, where I continue to develop my expertise, focusing particularly on sports and musculoskeletal health.
